We followed Gian-Luca Cavigelli and Roger Schuler around the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam at Dachstein, Austria. A lovely weekend with sun, fun, flips and nighttime dancing. Enjoy!

It was a perfect day for snowboarding up on the Dachstein glacier in Austria for the 4Star Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam, where the snowboarders were greeted with bluebird skies, warm weather and light winds. The day kicked off with men’s and women’s slopestyle semi-final rounds in the morning and finished off with finals in the afternoon. German snowboarder, Elias Elhardt, brought his A-game to win the event for the second consecutive year, as did reigning TTR World Snowboarding Tour Champion, Enni Rukajärvi (FIN), which boosted her into the women’s TTR World Snowboard Ranking lead. Both riders earned 500 Swatch TTR Ranking Points and left the glacier with a healthy slice of the $20,000 USD prize purse.

After some days of bad weather during the last week, saturday was the day were it finally opened up again. We met with the finish kickermachine Ville Uotila and followed him through the park. The 8th edition of the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam will open the European winter-season for the snowboard-community and QParks once again gathers the crème de la crème of riders, industry and media around the Dachstein glacier. More than 5000 visitors at the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein, over 3000 party-animals at the roaring after-contest-parties in Schladming and around 160 riders from more than 20 different countries. It was the show we have all expected! The Austrian Freeski Open finals went down under limited conditions as the wind was still too strong to get enough speed for all obstacles. In the end it was Jossi Wells who deserved the victory with a perfect and innovative run!
