The atmosphere was electric when rider after rider took their three runs flying over the huge straight jump into the landing, in order to determine who would remain to compete in the super-final. Mark McMorris made his way to victory by knocking out Finnish shredder, Markus Malin, in the first round with a stylish Cab 1260 double cork. In the second round he edged out Sage Kotsenburg, who in the first round had thrown down a first in competition history, a Cab 1440 double cork, knocking out Canadian Sebastien Toutant. In the super final, on his last run, Mark stomped a stylish Backside 1260 double cork, which moved him ahead of Peetu Piiroinen.

With many changes in the rankings, the chase for the Swatch TTR Tour Champion title is heating up and next up is the 6Star Nike 6.0 Air & Style in Munich, Germany. The Air & Style Munich will fill another stadium with superstars and eager fans on February 12th at the Olympic Stadium. Billabong’s Flaunt It is an All-Girls Slopestyle & Rail Jam snowboard series that is aimed at giving girls from all levels a chance to Flaunt It while providing over $30,000 in cash and prizes for the girls to vie for. All 7 Flaunt It stops are part of the 2010-11 Swatch TTR World Snowboard Event Tour schedule, ranking as either 3* or 4* events.

The first 6 events throughout the USA and Canada will have a $2000 cash purse up for grabs, with the first place winner for each event also receiving airfare and accommodation to the series Finals at Sierra-At-Tahoe. For the tour finals, the girls will have a chance to win a cash purse of $10,000 with lots of additional product and prizes!

The event format is a morning slopestyle jam followed by an afternoon rail jam. While there is cash and prizes up for graps this contest series was designed with fun in mind! Each competitor will be allowed to do as many runs as possible with the judges watching throughout the day to determine the standout riders. At each event, every competitor will receive a gift bag and a free lunch.

Billabong´s Snow Event is well established, running for 9 years and is held at New Zealand´s premiere terrain park (Snow Park). It started out as a Slope Style event, but for the last four years it has been a big air event. For the last three years it has been part of the TTR (Ticket To Ride) world circuit with a 3star rating.

Registration will be Friday 10th September 10am @ the Woolshed, Snow Park, Wanaka. Here you will be given your Bib and registration pack. Practice on course 11am – 12.30pm. Saturday 11th, practice on course 10.30am – 11.30 pm. Event starts 12pm

Entry includes a Billabong limited edition event hoody and Beanie, Accommodation (limited amount available) at Snow Park and entry into the VIP after party (Saturday 11th September, The Woolshed @ Snow Park). Drinks and food provided.

Buses will be available on Saturday 29th for competitors. They will leave from Outside Good Sports in Dumore St, Wanaka at 8am and 10am. There will be buses back from Snow Park to Wanaka at 5pm, 11pm and 12pm.
