What a weekend ladies and gentlemen. Hoch-Ybrig was shiny as gold and so were the totally 54 riders who came to show there skills to the judges Greg, Arnaud, Till, Raph, Misra, Lukas and Marco. The action was gnarly and the riders pushed their swag to the limits. The crowd in Hoch-Ybrig enjoyed a perfect weekend with pure sunshine and epic action.

Up’s and Down’s and Happy Endings with Xavier de le Rue

Gnarly crash and bad luck turned these past weeks into a rough period for Xavier. Competitions and filming sessions didn’t go as expected.
Nevertheless, Xavier sent it during the X-treme Verbier, and finished with a nice line and a victory run at the mother of all freeride contests.
Next mission will be in Jackson Hole with Jeremy Jones to film for “Further” before heading to Alaska if snow gods wake up and deliver the precious goods.

Blue bird conditions and a perfectly groomed park is awaiting finalist riders of the 5Star NESCAFÉ CHAMPS Leysin. The 20th anniversary of this respected snowboard event has taken over the small Swiss village of Leysin and filled it with top riders ready to tackle the progressive slopestyle course, as well as, legends of snowboarding who have come to celebrate this beloved event, that has brought many riders into the lime light. In this clip, Swiss rider Gian Simmen walks us through the slopestyle course which is so unique due to the integrated halfpipe.

NESCAFÉ CHAMPS LEYSIN 2011 FINALS

Today, a piece of snowboard history went into the books as the 20th anniversary of the NESCAFÉ CHAMPS Leysin, the oldest snowboard event in Europe, once again featured a nail biting final. Under sunny skies that made for warm spring-like conditions, the Swiss crowds gathered to relax and watch the high level of riding as both men and women took to the progressive slopestyle course. Slovenian shredder, Cilka Sadar, took a hefty lead early on and won the women’s title, which improved her ranking points to defend her World No. 2 position, while Swiss young gun, Lucien Koch, took home the men’s title. Both winners took home a share of the $ 50 000 USD prize purse and 850 Swatch TTR World Ranking points.
