VHS went out with Jussi in the Lake Tahoe area on Wednesday. It was pretty hot pow but he worked his butt off and got some shots.
The People crew were 100 feet away from us as well, quite funny to end up next to the only other crew there.
They got some sick shots. But you’ll have to wait until the fall to see their tricks.

Jussi Oksanen came by to visit VHS this week. So VHS were out filming all day yesterday.
Unfortunately Eddie hurt his knee yesterday so he’ll be taking a few days off.

VHS went up to Sonora a few days ago to see if we could do boarding.
Greg Weaver who films for Mammoth Mountain (he also filmed the long lens angle) joined us together with Shayne Pospisil and Clint Allen.

VHS took some runs with Shayne Pospisil yesterday under Chair 5 in Mammoth.
It was really deep today. At least two feet. Kinda strange since it was t-shirt weather here a few weeks ago and now it’s full winter again…

Shayne has been filming with the GoPro camera for a while and this morning he duct taped it to a tree branch to see if the perspective was better than holding it in his hand. We think the stick was a good idea.

Eddie went to see his two day old nephew for a day and since he came back on April Fools Day I figured I’d do something to spice up the day.

I just wish I would have rigged another camera or two.. but there wasn’t time.
I’ll get him on multiple cameras next year, fo sho.

VHS went on an O-MATIC shoot two years ago and on one of the off days we cruised over to the public park and took a few runs.

Here’s Eddie’s first rail shot of the season that almost ended it.

We got this new camera (Casio EX-FH100) and wanted to try it out today but the windy conditions made us try it out in the driveway and down the street.

It’s a fun camera with some pretty high tech features (10x zoom, sequences, sequence morph, slow motion and ramped slow motion in CAMERA).
120 fps looks good, 240 fps a little pixelated and 420 fps is very pixelated.

Eddie wasn’t too psyched on his skate shots, but I told him they’re just in there to demo the camera. He was almost ok with that.

Video Hyper Shred now own 27 cameras.

We went to Sonora Pass (aka The Garden) the other day to look around.
Stian was definitely on a tanning mission as well.

The parking area at Sonora is usually packed with fellow filmers, photographers and riders but this day we were all by ourselves. Which wasn’t surprising considering the snow conditions weren’t top notch.

The clips will be short, raw, and feature pro snowboarders, ams, legends, friends, skaters, girls, drunks, industry tools and animals. The site will include all types of snowboarding; film trips, fun laps, bangers, trick tips, archival footage, interviews, behind-the-scenes, hugs, high fives and much more.

Times are changing and we want to change with them. I feel like snowboarding has more to offer then a two minute video part at the end of the year. I just want to show people everything that is involved with snowboarding and this is the perfect way.” says Eddie. Pierre also comments “I have been filming for a long time and I am very excited to dive into something where I can combine my Facebook updating skills and my filmmaking.
